Santessou
Santessou has occupied 15 acres since July 2007, offered by the mayor of Mbour .It is a set of 150 shops and 500 professional artists certified by the the GRT/AS office, scattered within different fields: from wood carving to sewing by passing to painting in all forms (wood glass and clothes).
At you arrival, entertainment activities are performed to welcome the visitor and the biggest smiles, you've ever seen.
The centre is specialised in the making of percussion instruments or drums called "Djembe ". It is a section of wood digged on both sides and one of the sides is covered with goat or ship skin fastened by small ropes to the wooden part.
Santessou will be pleased to receive you into its varied African Art colours.
