Mr. Diouf has been a school teacher in the village for many years. He is now proud to help the villagers welcome people in and share, meet and interact with the tourists.

Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:

 

The leader of the group, Mr. Waly Diouf, a native school teacher from the village, who now teaches in Dakar, uses more than half the earnings to directly help the village by providing essentials, such as equipment for the village school, medicine for the dispensary, basic food supplies during times of bad harvest, and sometimes even the transportation of injured persons to Kaolack Hospital.

Furthermore, people coming to Thioffior are always pre-briefed and choose to come to a real village, to meet the villagers and live in their everyday life conditions. So most visitors just don't want to corrupt anything here, even if they can.
